Gladiators actor Steel, real name Zack George, has lately received an outpouring of sympathy after disclosing highly personal news about his life.
As the latest season of the BBC show concluded, Steel took to his Gladiators Instagram page to praise the staff for a "amazing" season.
The 34-year-old actor offered the message while silently dealing with one of the most difficult times of his life: the loss of his newborn child, who was born prematurely at only 23 weeks.
He commented, "I'm very pleased to have been a part of another amazing season of Gladiators. Respect to all of the contestants that stood forward!
"You truly brought everything to the arena, and it's been incredible to see.
Thank you to all of my fellow Glads and everyone that contributes to the success of our event. "It's been a fantastic series, and I've enjoyed inspiring the next generation of Gladiators," he said.
Steel's statement came only days after revealing that his kid had died as a result of partner Samantha's early delivery last month.
